Training and Qualifications
At AES, we aim to get the best out of our employees but also ensuring that they fulfil their own potential and career development. We employ electricians with a range of knowledge and skills acquired from training and qualifications obtained both within and outside the U.K.
There are various avenues to take to become a fully qualified electrician and whilst these courses are external, AES aims to provide the necessary practical training in conjunction with the theory based coursework. We encourage and actively employ 'Mates' who start out with little or no qualifications. Through on the job training they learn practicalities of the role, and after some time they can start or continue with their external qualifications. We also offer incentives for 'Improvers'. They are individuals who the Site Foreman feels has shown significant improvement during the course of a job.
Being fully qualified does not mean there is no room for growth. A number of additional qualifications are available for individuals wishing to further progress and we will encourage and support these individuals in achieving their goals.
Further, it is our belief that individuals wanting to develop their careers should be recognised for their efforts, and it is often the case that internal promotions will take precedence over new employees.
